Automated Demand Management

Cut peak demand charges automatically.

Noda forecasts each building's demand peaks and sheds or shifts HVAC load automatically, with no operator needed during the event.

Every afternoon, buildings hit peak load just as the grid does. Noda forecasts each building's peak and autonomously deploys strategies to curtail demand, without impacting comfort.

See every peak coming.

Machine learning models learn each building's demand from metered power, occupancy schedules and weather. ADM sets the demand limit from the expected peak, so the limit follows seasonal and weather-driven swings.

Shed load occupants don't feel.

As building power nears the limit, ADM raises occupied zone cooling setpoints a little at a time, never past each zone's maximum.

Move cooling out of the peak.

Pre-cooling runs zones cooler in the late morning, so the building carries less cooling load into the afternoon peak. Each setpoint returns to BMS control when the event ends.

Respond to every event, from any trigger.

Run ADM on a schedule, against an automatic peak limit, at the press of a button, or from third-party software through Noda's API. No one needs to act during the event.
